Vern is a character in Young Sheldon and is portrayed by Alan Rachins. He is married to Hortense. One day, he uses the Church Shuttle to get to places. While in the van, Meemaw gets in. Vern tries to talk and ask where Meemaw is going, prompting Hotense to not flirt. They later are convinced by Meemaw to try a salon, to which they are happy about.
