The seventh and final season of Young Sheldon premiered on February 15, 2024, and concluded on May 16, 2024.

Trivia[]

  • This season was renewed on March 30, 2021, along with Seasons 5 and 6.[1]
  • This season was delayed due to the WGA strike, which had CBS change their 2023 Fall schedule by airing reruns of Young Sheldon in its time slot.[2]
  • This season was moved to 2024 mid-season schedule after the actors strike was settled on November 9, 2023, which CBS would later set it to premiere in mid February in 2024.[3] However, on November 14, 2023, the day after, it was confirmed as the final season of the series with shorten episodes ordered to 14.[4]
  • With this being the last season and the series finale on May 16, 2024, both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon end on the same date, five years apart (TBBT ended on May 16, 2019).
  • George Jr. and Mandy's wedding occurred in an episode in the middle of the season.[5]
  • Steve Holland confirmed that Tam returned in this season.[6]
  • It's unknown if we'll see Georgie out on his own.
  • George Sr.'s death of a heart attack is revealed at the end of the episode "A New Home and a Traditional Texas Torture", occurring when Sheldon and Missy are 14 years old as confirmed in TBBT. The penultimate episode "Funeral" expand on this reveal and have all major characters say their posthumous goodbyes to him.
  • On January 12, 2024, it was confirmed that after this season, a spin-off to continue with Georgie and Mandy is in the works.[7]
  • On March 6, 2024, it was announced that Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik will reprise their roles as Sheldon and Amy in the series finale.[8]
