June is the ex-wife of Dale Ballard, Meemaw’s friend, and a recurring character in Young Sheldon.

Early life

June states that the reason she was named June is because she was conceived in June. This means that she was born most likely sometime between January and April. She was married to Dale Ballard sometime in the 60s-70s before the show began. The marriage also turned out to be dysfunctional. They divorced sometime in the 70s-80s.

The show

June meets Meemaw at a baseball game and they strike up a friendship. While Meemaw and June are at a dive bar, Dr. Sturgis ended up also being there and him and June meet, June also becomes close friends with John Sturgis. Later, June receives a phone call from Dr. Sturgis with Sturgis asking her out. She says no as he is Meemaw's ex-boyfriend but tells him that Meemaw looked at him with a spark and tells him that Dale is probably gonna mess up. (A Boyfriend's Ex-Wife and a Good Luck Head Rub)

June and Dale convince Meemaw to attend their son's wedding. June brings along a date with her called Justin. (Crappy Frozen Ice Cream and an Organ Grinder's Monkey)

Mary goes to June's salon for an appointment, but can't decide what to do with her hair. June gives her some time to think about what to do, but after Mary has a hair accident, June tries to help her. June suggests starting with nails, so Mary agrees. While Meemaw was calling Dale, June calls Meemaw to cancel her hair appointment, Meemaw asks if she's okay, June reveals that she busted her knee, Meemaw asks if Dale knows, June says not yet but she can tell him, Meemaw switches the call line to Dale then said that she hurt her knee, Dale asks how, Meemaw switches the call line to June then asks how, June said that she slipped on a glob of hair gel at the salon, Meemaw switches to Dale and tells the story. Later, Dale and Connie visits June bringing ice cream. Sometime later, June calls Dale for help in the recliner, while Meemaw and Dale are eating, Dale reveals that he helped June take a shower, Meemaw visits June to ask her about it, while they're having a conversation, June reveals that she's a little jealous of Connie, telling her that she has the Dale June never got, Meemaw tells her that Dale is one lucky turd. June visits Meemaw's gambling room, while Georgie and Meemaw were talking, June gets ecstatic, Georgie and Meemaw look over to see that June won $11,000, Meemaw tells her that that has to be a glitch and makes Georgie go get a manual. Later, Meemaw and June were having lunch, Meemaw tells June that when the machines get unplugged they reset at the highest possible payout, June asks Meemaw what she's gonna do, then June suggested that she be a partner, Meemaw reluctantly agrees. Later, Meemaw comes in to the gambling room and sees twinkle lights, Meemaw tells her to take it down, June denies and tells her that she's a partner, Georgie is on her side. Later, Georgie and June have a conversation about the 70s. (An Expensive Glitch and a Goof-Off Room)

Upon hearing of George's death, June gives Mary a casserole to comfort her from George's death. (Funeral)
