Jerry O'Connell was born February 17, 1974, in New York City. He is an American actor, known for his work in the films Jerry Maguire, Scream 2, Kangaroo Jack, Joe's Apartment and Piranha 3D. He starred in the Canadian TV series My Secret Identity, the Fox sci-fi TV series Sliders, the NBC series Crossing Jordan and the CBS series The Defenders. One of his first roles was in the film Stand by Me, which also starred Wil Wheaton who appeared with him in the episode "The Bow Tie Asymmetry".
Jerry appeared in "The Sibling Realignment", "The Bow Tie Asymmetry and "The Tam Turbulence". He is married to former model Rebecca Romijn and has two daughters.
Jerry currently voices the character of USS Cerritos first officer Jack Ransom on the Paramount+ animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. Coincidentally, his wife, Rebecca Romijn, currently plays the character of USS Enterprise first officer Una Chin-Riley, aka Number One, in the series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (the role originally played by "First Lady of Star Trek" Majel Barrett, the wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry).
