Isabel May (born November 21, 2000) is an American actress. She portrayed Veronica Duncan on Young Sheldon.
Isabel was born on November 21, 2000, in Santa Monica, California. Despite her surroundings, she grew up as the antithesis of everything one might expect from a young California blonde girl. She actually finds the Pacific Ocean to be disgusting, and furthermore when she was seven years old she saw the 1975 horror film Jaws and became frightened for life. Instead she spent much of her time reading.
When she was in the sixth grade, an English teacher urged her to join the school drama club in order to encourage her to become more sociable. Though she felt uncomfortable with theater work, she was more interested in auditioning for films and television. Additionally at 15 she had a short-lived job at a Brandy Melville clothing franchise, however she did not do any modeling for the store. At 16, she decided to focus more on her acting career, and her parents allowed her to shift to online education. Six months later, she was offered the role of Katie Cooper in the 2018 Netflix sitcom "Alexa & Katie." Not long after this, she gained the recurring role of Veronica Duncan on Young Sheldon. Her most recent role has been the one-season "Yellowstone" prequel "1883."
