Dr. Jensen is the father of Alex Jensen. In "The Higgs Boson Observation" (S06E03), Alex tells Leonard that her dad is an astronomer at SETI, referring to the Institute for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. Leonard jokes with her that she should introduce her father to Sheldon and that the search is over, implying the latter is an alien.
