Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage[]
In the pilot episode, Audrey is introduced in the living room while watching an episode of the television show Frasier. She makes comments that provokes Mandy, pushing them to go to their room. The next day, she mentions topics that the Georgie and Mandy talked about the night before in a very caustic manner. This prompts them to move out. She later has dinner with Jim alone and she mentions how she didn't do anything wrong and misses CeeCee as opposed to her daughter or son in law. He sarcastically tells her good luck with that because he doesn't picture Mandy dropping off CeeCee for visits unless she apologizes. As a result of his words, Audrey arrives at the new apartment, and begs them to return, and apologizes to Mandy; to her and Jim’s delight, Mandy, CeeCee and Georgie return. (The 6:10 to Lubbock)
Audrey folds Mandy's clothes, and heard the conversation because she had no choice. Audrey and her daughter talk for a bit. Connor comes into the living room and asks to borrow her car so he can drive to Houston and get something for his AMP. Audrey decides to give it to him, and has errands tomorrow. At home, Audrey and Jim talk before going to sleep. Audrey thinks the marriage does not last. Jim said her father didn’t like him, but she reassures him that it was the hair. (Some New York Nonsense)
When Mary visits, Audrey discovers a photo of Mary with CeeCee in her photo album and she doesn't take kindly to this. Mary defends that action, saying it is an act of love from both grandmothers. However, Audrey thinks she should get off her high cross and make her own photo album, prompting Mary to angrily storm out of the house snapping at Audrey saying that while she will pray for her, she won't have high expectations towards her.
Right before bedtime, Audrey was telling Jim about the altercation, and as usual of her superior personality, she thinks she is right to exclude Mary from the family's album. Jim tells her that she made it wrong, and Audrey concedes a bit, but slightly.
Audrey goes to Medford Baptist Church and wants to apologize due her to not being sensitive enough to Mary's needs. She doesn't accept and think that Audrey is being condescending and selfish. Mary also claims that she thinks that she is needy and fragile after losing her husband to a heart attack. She also points out that she doesn't need her pity either. Having had enough of Mary's stubbornness, Audrey snaps and says that she no longer feels sorry for her after George died. Pastor Jeff comes by and witnesses the pair argue so much. He basically says that the power of love, and prayer is the key to end the awkward animosity and tension between the two women.
At the dinner table at the McAllister house, the main topic of conversation was rather contentious as the family had been fraying and on the edge. Audrey is not repentful. Jim tries to reduce the tension by suggesting that Missy and Mary can come over for dinner on the weekend, to no avail. Later, Connor remarks that the reason he eats elsewhere in the kitchen and not at the table is because of past grievances to do with the family. Audrey later told Mandy how Georgie sides with her, in an attempt to get on her good side. She tells Mandy about it behind his back.
The following day, Pastor Jeff intervenes to stop the fight despite Mary's tirade of spiteful comments. They call Audrey to come over and they try to solve the problem at hand. Pastor Jeff is helpful despite the snarky comments the women dish out at one other. Audrey leaves because it does not go far at all.
Georgie and Mandy gives a "Grandmothers’ Agreement" to their mothers. This agreement included that Constance will spend 2 nights at the Cooper household, under the care of Mary, while Audrey will take CeeCee to doctor's appointments, which she will lose the privilege to do so, should either of them fight once more. Both grandmothers would not call each other names including "That woman", "Crazy", "Kook", and an offensive word, as well as "Bless your heart". This document was drawn up by Georgie as inspired by Sheldon's contract agreements, and all the grammatical errors were fixed by Mandy. Mary asks if she would get more time to spend with CeeCee in the event of Audrey's potential death, much to her anger.
At a Sears, the entire family gets a group photo together, with Connor doing several goofy poses. (A House Divided)
