Summary[]
Audrey and Mary go to war over CeeCee and Georgie, and Mandy can't help but take sides. [1]
Plot[]
Mary is over at the McAllister house. Mary is super happy to see Constance, and puts her to bed when she needs to sleep, and says Soft Kitty is effective. While she was in the bedroom, Audrey notices that a picture of Mary appears in the album book, and she takes offense to it. Mary defends that action, saying it is an act of love from both grandmothers. However, Audrey thinks she should get off her high cross and make her own photo album, prompting Mary to angrily storm out of the house snapping at Audrey saying that while she will pray for her, she won't have high expectations towards her.
Right before bedtime, Audrey was telling Jim about the story, and as usual of her superior personality, she thinks she is right that she left Mary out of the album family. Jim tells her that she made it wrong, and Audrey concedes a bit, but slightly.
Georgie and Mandy are talking about it, and know each mother's issues. Georgie says that Mary had a lot of issues to deal with such as George's passing, Sheldon moving out, and she is stuck with living with Missy. Mandy gets the fact that her mom feels that way, and that Georgie remarks Mandy took her side for once.
Audrey goes to First Baptist Church of Medford and wants to apologize, which Mary doesn't accept. Her condescending and uptight nature comes out and she makes Mary think she is just pitiful and irritating. Audrey snaps and says that she no longer feels sorry for her after George died. Pastor Jeff comes by and witnesses the pair argue so much. He basically says that the power of love, and prayer is the key to end the awkward animosity and tension between the two women.
At the dinner table ar the McAllister house, a conversation was rather contentious as the family had been fraying and on the edge. Audrey is not repentful. Jim tries to reduce the tension by suggesting that Missy and Mary be invited over for dinner one day and it does not go the best way. Later Connor remarks that he eats somewhere else in the kitchen and not at the table because of past grievances to do with the family. Audrey later told Mandy how Georgie sides with her, in an attempt to get on her good side. Audrey tells Mandy about it behind his back.
Right before bed, Mandy is reading a book while resentful of her husband Georgie changes, and gets in bed. Mandy makes a comment saying that his brain is not fully developed, while Georgie retorts with saying it was probably the early onset of menopause. This comment prompts Mandy to kick him out of bed and forcing him to sleep on the sofa. While on the sofa, Connor comes out to watch Jay Leno.
The next day, Mary comes over to see Constance, and she is happy, and not with Missy after she had gotten multiple tattoos. After Georgie mentions how he is on Audrey's side, Mary angrily accuses him of betraying her and referring to him as Judas. Pastor Jeff intervenes to stop despite Mary's tirade of spiteful comments. They call Audrey to come over and they try to solve it. Pastor Jeff is helpful despite the snarky comments sent at each other. Audrey leaves because it does not go far at all. Jeff tells Mandy and Georgie that they should improve their relationship, to which the pair agrees. Jeff considers it a win.
Georgie and Mandy gives a "Grandmothers’ Agreement" to their mothers. This agreement included Constance will spend 2 nights at the Cooper household, under the care of Mary, while Audrey will take CeeCee to doctor's appointments, which she will lose the privilege to do so, should either of them fight once more. Both grandmothers would not call each other names including "That woman", "Crazy", "Kook", and an offensive word, as well as "Bless your heart". This document was drawn up by Georgie as inspired by Sheldon's agreements, and the spelling fixed by Mandy. Mary asks if she would get more time to spend with CeeCee in the event of Audrey's potential death, much to Georgie's irritation. She also says that the family will cross that bridge when they get there.
At a Sears, the entire family gets a group photo together, with Connor doing several goofy poses.
